The Mysterious Power of Reiki

The word “Reiki” means “mysterious atmosphere, miraculous sign.” It comes from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” meaning life energy.

Reiki is a type of energy healing. According to practitioners, energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or even emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness.

Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure.

Reiki practitioners believe that improving the flow of energy around the body can enable relaxation, relieve pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness.

Mikao Usui developed Usui Reiki Ryoho, the most current form of Reiki, in 1922. However, people have practiced Reiki for about 2,500 years.

People also refer to Reiki as palm healing or hands-on healing.

Tarot Card Deck

A little about the history of Tarot and the process of Tarot Readings

The Structure of Tarot Cards

It is believed that tarot cards originated from Egypt and India. But its use dates back many centuries back as far as Europe.

Today’s standard tarot deck is based on the Venetian tarot consisting of 78 cards divided into the Major Arcana (22) and the Minor Arcana (56).

The Major Arcana interprets significant life events issues, while the Minor Arcana interprets less significant and daily life events. The cards have a chronological order depicting major and minor themes occurring over time.

Minor Arcana cards comprise four tarot suits that focus on different life aspects. These include; Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Wands represent sexuality, energy, passion, and creativity. Cups are considered the suit of love representing feelings, emotions, and intuition. The swords represent your thoughts, actions, and words. Finally, Pentacles encompasses the materialism of the world, covering finances, wealth, and career paths.

Major Arcana cards hold a significant influence on tarot card readings and require more attention from the reader.

What Is Tarot Card Reading?

As stated earlier, diviners use different kinds of divination tools, and one of them is Tarot Cards. Each card in the deck has its meaning, and you can not interpret it yourself, hence the need to consult a certified tarot reader. Remember, different readers will employ different interpretation techniques.

How Is The Tarot Card Reading Done?

Before the tarot card session starts, you will be required to come up with a question that you would like to be interpreted.

For instance, you can ask why you feel that there is a lot of anxiety within you? The question you ask will pave the way for the reader to give you an interpretation.

The reader will then shuffle the deck of cards thoroughly and lay them out in what is referred to as a tarot card spread. The reader will use any spread format depending on what interpretation you seek.

One of the popular spread methods is the ten-card spread, commonly known as the Celtic Cross Spread. It is used to give a comprehensive interpretation to answer the question you want to be addressed.

Other types of tarot card spreads include the three spread, five spread, 7-day spread, and 12 months spread. Remember each position of the card has a significant and specific meaning. The three spread is best for giving an interpretation about your past, present, and future based on the question you have asked.

Most people would prefer undertaking in-person tarot card sessions. However, if that is not possible, you can opt for online tarot readings, which are straightforward and have many benefits, including access to many tarot readers, privacy, and convenience.
